01/07/08: MAJOR CHANGES TO GHT (ESSEX
UK)
July see`s major changes coming to GHT.
Here
is a breakdown of what will be coming up and how it will be effecting the team.
VIGIL FEE`S:
Commencing from 1st July, ALL vigils will now be subject to a £5.00 fee per person. This is
to cover costs and liability.
ATTENDANCE:
Also from the 1st July, compulsory notice
of attending a vigil MUST be notified to GHT Admin no later than TWO DAYS before the vigil date.
Any notification recieved within the two day limit will still be subject to the £5.00 vigil fee.
Exceptions will be considered
for ill health, bereavement or accidents.
GHT / SPIRITUAL INVESTIGATIONS MERGER:
I`m
pleased to announce that plans are afoot to merge these two teams. Lynne Thorpe from S.I. has approached Colin with an idea
to bring herself plus 4 of her team over to GHT. Lynne`s team has an excellent record and has attended numerous investigations,
they have good connections too, plus Public Liability Insurance - hence the reason we need to help pay towards that cost with
£5.00. The merger will mean:
increased cover when members
are unable to attend
the addition of two more Mediums
access to more indoor locations
the expertise of Barry and
Dean with technical help
The members of Lynne`s team will wear GHT T-Shirts, and all vigils will
be conducted by GHT under GHT Code of Conduct Rules.
Lynne and Colin are finalising more details, so as soon as more news
is available, it wil be added here....
We will also be joined by new Core Team member Kerry, coming to us from
another team in Essex. We look forward to working with her on future GHT vigils.
12/10/08: RADIO NORFOLK HALLOWEEN SPECIAL:
GHT has been contacted by Radio Norfolk regarding the possiblity of following a team on a vigil on Halloween night. We have
chosen to return to Caistor-St-Edmund, near Norwich for this vigil. This will only be open to Core Team, T-Shirts and ID Badges
MUST be worn. Please confirm attendence ASAP to GHT ADMIN.

06/11/08: CHANGES DUE TO GHT IN 2009
2009 will see several changes made to the vigils lists and to the
way GHT attendence to vigils is covered.
Having checked the attendence levels between 2007 and 2008 vigils, and also taking
into account the requests made at the 2008 AGM, from the start of 2009 the vigils will be split into Essex based and Outside
Essex. These two section will have sub-divisions as well, separating indoor and outdoor locations.
Our £5.00 fee will
now only be charged for indoor locations (to cover costs or entrance fees) and for Joint Investigations when the charge helps
to go towards any Public liability Cover.
Core Team will be able to go down both lists and choose which vigils they wish
to attend but with two conditions:
1) A minimum of six vigils over the year must be attended
2) At least one of
these six vigils must include an outside Essex or fee-paying vigil
The 2009 GHT AGM will be in January and all of
these new measures will be explained in full to the Core Team. In addition, a new contract will be drawn up to enforce the
changes.
Any Core Team who require further information about these changes should contact COLIN via the normal channels.
